Description
Lian Li UNI Fan SL120 120mm ARGB PWM Fan 3-Pack with Controller – White :
Buying Guide & Review
The SL120 is the fan that made Lian Li’s UNI Fan range a common sight in custom builds, and it is easy to see why. The Lian Li UNI Fan SL120 120mm ARGB PWM Fan 3-Pack with Controller – White joins three fans into one tidy block, lights each with 32 addressable LEDs and hands control to a single hub, so a white build can stay clean from every angle.
Newer UNI Fan models have since arrived, but the original SL120 remains a popular, well-understood choice for builders who want the interlocking concept at a sensible price. Here is what the pack offers and how to decide whether it is right for you.
1. Why the Lian Li SL120 3-Pack Remains Popular
The Interlocking Idea Done Simply
The SL120 slides together with its neighbours so power and lighting pass through the connected frames. A chain needs only one lead back to the controller, which is a big improvement over the tangle of individual fan and RGB cables in a traditional setup.
Everything Needed in One Box
This pack includes three fans and the UNI HUB controller, so you are not left needing extra parts before the fans can run or light up. It is a complete starting point for a UNI Fan system.
2. Design & Build
Clean White Finish
The white frame and blades suit white cases and components, and the lighting diffuses nicely through the light-coloured plastic. Even with a subtle static colour, the fans look bright and uniform in a white build.
Slightly Taller Frame
The SL120 measures 124 x 122.5 x 25mm, a little larger than a plain 120mm fan because of the interlocking edges. Most cases handle that without trouble, but it is worth checking tight radiator or top-mount clearances before buying.
3. Lian Li SL120 Specs Explained
32 Addressable LEDs per Fan
Each fan carries 32 individually addressable RGB LEDs arranged along its edges. That creates bright side-lit bars that look striking when fans are chained together, making the row read as one continuous light feature.
800-1900 RPM PWM Control
A speed range of 800 to 1900 RPM gives the SL120 a quiet idle and plenty of headroom. PWM control lets the motherboard or software raise speed only when temperatures demand it.
4. UNI HUB, L-Connect & Chaining Rules
Up to 4 Fans per Chain
The modular design supports up to four fans in a single interlocked chain. That covers a 360mm radiator or a front intake row with room for one more, and you can run several chains from the hub.
One Hub for Up to 16 Fans
The UNI HUB manages up to 16 fans in total, controlled through L-Connect software. Lighting effects, colour and fan speeds are all adjusted from the same app, keeping every chain in the case in sync.
5. Cooling Performance & Mounting
Front Intake in a White Case
Three SL120s across the front give a mid-tower an even flow of fresh air, while the side lighting faces the glass panel. It is the most common placement for this pack, and it shows off the lighting best.
Radiator and Top Mounts
The fans also work on AIO radiators and top exhaust positions. Just confirm clearance for the slightly larger frame, particularly in cases where the top radiator sits close to the motherboard’s power connectors.
6. Pakistan Market Perspective
White Builds and Dust
White fans show dust faster than black ones, and in many Pakistani cities that dust arrives quickly. A regular clean of the front filter and a gentle blow-out of the fans every few weeks keep the build looking fresh and running cool.
Summer Fan Curves
The 1900 RPM top speed gives useful margin during the hottest months. Setting a more aggressive fan curve for summer and a relaxed one for winter is an easy way to balance noise and temperatures year round.
7. Lian Li SL120 3-Pack Price in Pakistan & Value
Proven Tech at a Fair Price
Because the SL120 is an established model, it often represents good value compared with newer UNI Fan variants. You still get interlocking cables, addressable lighting and hub control without paying for the latest features.
Warranty and Setup Checks
The pack comes with a 7-day replacement or refund warranty. Connect the fans and hub soon after purchase, confirm all three appear in L-Connect and light correctly, and contact MHK Tech Zone quickly if not.
8. Who Should Buy the Lian Li SL120 3-Pack?
A Great Fit For
White-themed builds, first-time UNI Fan users, owners of 360mm radiators wanting matched fans, and anyone who wants neat cabling with addressable lighting and a single controller.
Consider Another Option If
You want wireless control, a thicker high-airflow fan, or you already own a UNI HUB and only need single fans to extend an existing setup.
Conclusion
The Lian Li UNI Fan SL120 120mm ARGB PWM Fan 3-Pack with Controller – White is still one of the easiest ways to get a clean, bright fan setup in a white build. Interlocking frames, 32 addressable LEDs per fan, an 800-1900 RPM range and a hub for up to 16 fans cover what most builders need.
If you want the UNI Fan experience without paying for the newest variants, this pack remains a well-rounded choice.
