Thermalright Assassin Spirit 120 Vision ARGB Single-Tower CPU Air Cooler with 1.54-Inch Display :
Buying Guide & Review
Air coolers with screens used to be a novelty. Now they are one of the most practical ways to add personality to a budget build. The Thermalright Assassin Spirit 120 Vision ARGB Single-Tower CPU Air Cooler with 1.54-Inch Display takes Thermalright’s popular Assassin Spirit formula and adds a small IPS display on top, turning a sensible cooler into a talking point.
It suits gamers who want something better than a stock cooler, who do not want the pump or the price of an AIO, and who still like the idea of seeing live information inside the case. Let’s look at it properly.
1. Why the Assassin Spirit 120 Vision Appeals
No Pump, No Liquid, Fewer Worries
An air cooler has only one moving part, the fan. There is no pump to fail and no liquid to worry about. For many builders, especially first-timers, that simplicity is a big reason to choose air.
A Screen on a Budget Cooler
The 1.54-inch IPS display gives the cooler something most single-tower coolers do not have. It can show temperatures or custom visuals, making it easy to check how the CPU is doing at a glance.
2. Design & Build
Compact Single Tower
The heatsink measures 120 x 48 x 154mm. At 154mm tall, it fits in most mid-tower cases and many compact ones, but always check your case’s maximum CPU cooler height first.
Lightweight Fan
The fan itself weighs just 135g and measures 120 x 120 x 25.6mm. A light, standard-sized fan is easy to swap or clean, and it keeps stress on the motherboard low.
Black and White Options
The cooler is available in black and white, so it can match the rest of your parts whichever direction your build takes.
3. Cooling Hardware
Four 6mm Heat Pipes
Four 6mm heat pipes carry heat from the base up into the fin stack. This is a proven layout for mainstream CPUs and handles Core i5, Core Ultra 5 and Ryzen 5 class chips comfortably.
S-FDB Bearing Fan
The fan uses an S-FDB bearing, known for quiet operation and a long working life. It tops out at 1500 RPM and moves up to 66.17 CFM of air, with a rated noise level of 25.6 dBA, so it stays quiet even when working.
4. Display & Lighting
1.54-Inch IPS Screen
The display runs at 240 x 240 on an IPS panel. It is clear enough for readable temperature numbers and simple animations, and IPS keeps it visible from different viewing angles.
TRCC Software and ARGB
Thermalright’s TRCC software controls what appears on screen. The cooler also has standard ARGB and PWM connectors, so the lighting can sync with your motherboard and the fan speed follows the board’s fan curve.
5. Compatibility & Installation
Modern Socket Support
Like the rest of the Assassin Spirit range, this model is designed for mainstream Intel and AMD desktop platforms, including LGA1700 and AM5. Check the included mounting kit for your socket before installing.
RAM and Case Clearance
Single-tower coolers usually leave good room for tall memory. The bigger check is height: 154mm is manageable in most cases, but very slim cases may not fit it.
6. Pakistan Market Perspective
Reliable Through Power Cuts
Air coolers have no pump that needs to restart after a sudden shutdown, which gives some owners extra confidence in areas with frequent load-shedding. That said, a UPS is still recommended to protect the rest of the system.
Summer Considerations
Summer heat makes any cooler work harder. For mainstream processors, this cooler has enough capacity, but pairing it with good case airflow and at least one exhaust fan will make a real difference on hot days.
7. Assassin Spirit 120 Vision Price in Pakistan & Value
An Affordable Display Cooler
Adding a screen usually pushes a cooler into a higher price bracket. The Assassin Spirit 120 Vision keeps the cost close to a regular budget tower while giving you the display.
Value in Context
When you compare the Thermalright Assassin Spirit 120 Vision price in Pakistan with plain coolers of similar size, the small extra cost buys a feature that makes the build feel more premium. The 2 year local warranty from MHK Tech Zone rounds out the package.
8. Who Should Buy the Assassin Spirit 120 Vision?
Great For
Gamers running mid-range processors, first-time builders who prefer air cooling, anyone replacing a noisy stock cooler, and those who want a screen without buying an AIO.
Consider Another Cooler If
You run a flagship CPU that needs a dual tower or a 360mm AIO, your case is too narrow for a 154mm cooler, or you do not care about having a display at all.
Conclusion
The Thermalright Assassin Spirit 120 Vision ARGB Single-Tower CPU Air Cooler with 1.54-Inch Display pairs four 6mm heat pipes and a quiet S-FDB fan with a sharp 240 x 240 IPS screen, TRCC control and ARGB lighting, all in a compact 154mm tower.
It keeps the reliability and simplicity of air cooling while adding a feature normally found on pricier coolers. For mid-range builds, it is a smart and satisfying upgrade.
