ID-Cooling FX240 LCD 240mm ARGB AIO CPU Liquid Cooler with 1.48-Inch Display (Black/White) :
Buying Guide & Review
A few years ago, an LCD screen on a CPU cooler was something you only saw on flagship products. The ID-Cooling FX240 LCD 240mm ARGB AIO CPU Liquid Cooler with 1.48-Inch Display brings that feature within reach of mainstream builders, combining a compact 240mm radiator with a pump head that can show temperatures, images or animations.
For many gaming PCs, a 240mm AIO is the ideal balance between cooling power and case compatibility. Add a screen to that and you have a cooler that is both practical and personal. Here is what the FX240 LCD offers.
1. Why the FX240 LCD Stands Out
A Screen Where It Matters
The 1.48-inch LCD sits right on the pump head, the centre of your motherboard and the first thing people see through the glass. It turns an otherwise plain component into a live display.
The Practical 240mm Size
A 240mm radiator fits in far more cases than a 360mm unit, including many compact and budget mid-towers. It is often the largest radiator a smaller case can take, which makes this cooler a good fit for a wide range of builds.
2. Pump Head & Display
1.48-Inch LCD
The large LCD display can show your CPU temperature at a glance, or you can use it for custom visuals to match your build’s theme. It is both a monitoring tool and a style statement.
ARGB Ring Lighting
An ARGB ring around the pump head frames the display and adds colour that can sync with the rest of your lighting setup.
Easy Control Software
ID-Cooling’s Easy Control software lets you manage what the display shows, making it simple to switch between system information and personal images.
3. Cooling Performance Expectations
300W TDP Support
With a 300W TDP rating, the FX240 LCD has solid headroom for mainstream and many high-end processors. It is a comfortable match for popular gaming CPUs, including chips that would push a basic tower cooler hard.
Pump at 2900 RPM
The pump runs at 2900 RPM, keeping coolant circulating steadily between the cold plate and radiator for consistent cooling under long loads.
Silent-Oriented Fans
The radiator fans run between 300 and 2000 RPM and are tuned with low noise in mind. They stay quiet during light use and ramp up only when the processor needs more cooling.
4. Compatibility
Current Intel and AMD Platforms
The FX240 LCD supports Intel LGA1851, LGA1700, LGA1200 and LGA115X, along with AMD AM5 and AM4. That covers nearly every desktop processor you are likely to buy today.
Case Fit
Make sure your case supports a 240mm radiator at the top or front and that you have room for the fans on top of it. Most modern mid-towers do, but compact cases can be tight.
5. Installation & Care
Radiator Placement
A top-mounted radiator set as exhaust is a clean and effective option in most cases. If you front-mount it, keep the tubes at the bottom so the pump stays below the highest point of the radiator.
Keep the Fins Clean
Dust on radiator fins reduces cooling over time. A gentle clean every few months helps the cooler perform like new, especially in dusty areas.
Why Choose an AIO Over Air?
A liquid cooler moves the bulk of the cooling hardware away from the socket and onto the radiator. That leaves the area around the motherboard open, gives full clearance for tall memory, and lets the case fans exhaust CPU heat directly. It also shows off the LCD pump head without a large tower blocking the view through the glass.
6. Why It Suits Pakistani Builds
Summer Headroom
When room temperatures climb, liquid cooling can help maintain steady CPU temperatures. The FX240 LCD’s 300W rating gives useful margin for summer gaming sessions.
Protect the Pump
AIO pumps rely on stable power. A good power supply and a UPS help protect the cooler and the rest of your system from sudden power cuts and surges.
Dust Is the Other Enemy
Many homes deal with fine dust for much of the year. Put filters on your intake fans and clean them regularly so the radiator gets clean air.
7. ID-Cooling FX240 LCD Price in Pakistan & Value
An LCD Cooler Without the Premium Price
LCD pump heads have typically been reserved for expensive coolers. The ID-Cooling FX240 LCD price in Pakistan makes the feature far more accessible while still delivering solid 240mm cooling.
Local Warranty Support
A two-year local warranty adds peace of mind for a component that works every time you switch on your PC.
8. Who Should Buy the FX240 LCD?
Recommended For
Builders who want a screen on their cooler, users with mid-tower cases that fit 240mm radiators, and gamers with mainstream to upper-mid-range processors.
Consider Another Option If
You run the hottest flagship processors under heavy all-core loads, where a 360mm AIO would give more headroom, or you do not care for an LCD and would rather save the difference.
Conclusion
The ID-Cooling FX240 LCD 240mm ARGB AIO CPU Liquid Cooler with 1.48-Inch Display brings a premium-looking feature to a practical, widely compatible cooler. A 1.48-inch LCD, ARGB ring lighting, 300W TDP support and a 2900 RPM pump make it a strong all-rounder.
For builders who want their cooler to look as good as it performs, the FX240 LCD is well worth a closer look.
